Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish actor and model from 11 November 1996. Alison Doody made her film debut as the Bond model on the set of A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she starred as a character in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. Doody played Nazi sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Other roles include Siobhan Donavan on the film A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Doody was invited by a photographer, who asked her to perform the role of a model. Doody then began to build an industry-wide career in commercial modeling. Doody tried to stay clear of the glamour of nude roles which was a principle she followed in her acting. Doody was offered a tiny role in the film Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill when she was spotted by the director who cast her. Doody is listed in John Willis Screen World's Vol. 3. She is listed as one of the 12 most promising actors from 1986. 38. Doody, at 18-years-old in the role of Doody in Bond She was still the youngest Bond actress to date. A Prayer for the Dying, starring Mickey Rourke in 1987, was another early film where Doody portrayed IRA Siobhan. Doody was a silent actress in a 1987 film adaptation from The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream wife Lilias. The episode of the Storyteller Sapsorrow was her first lead role. It took place in 1988 alongside John Hurt, Dawn French as well as Jennifer Saunders. She worked with Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Elsa Schneider, an Austrian Nazi sympathizer and an archaeologist from the forensic field in the 1989 movie Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody has collaborated with three James Bond actors. Doody appeared in the 1991 British miniseries Selling Hitler with Jonathan Pryce. It was based on the Hitler Diaries publication scam. Following her move to Hollywood, Doody became a star. The actress later became Flannery the agent of Charlie Sheen, as well as girlfriend for Major League II. She was selected as the replacement for Cybill Shepherd, who had been L'Oreal's spokesperson. After a long absence from the stage Doody was back in the acting world with a small role in 2003 British comedy film The Actors with Michael Caine acting as herself in an event scene for the award ceremony. She also appeared in 2004 alongside Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She also appeared in Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 publication about the Holocaust. in 2010 Doody shot a part in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture (2010). Doody was later a guest on the medical drama of RTE The Clinic and was set to appear in a remake of the horror film The Asphyx but the project was later put on hold. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons. She appeared in We Still Kill the Old Way (2014). The Almeria Tierra de Film Award was awarded to her on November 21, 2018. In addition, she was awarded an award at the Almeria Walk of Fame.
